And suddenly it's December.
The Advent candles remain in the freezer.
While I do what Word does,
my life is in shambles;
I must light those candles.
And suddenly it's December,
Thanksgiving has come and gone.
My sentences continue to run-on
while I do what Word does,
Freezing the wind that kills things;
My creeds will live 'til Spring.
And suddenly it's December
with its lists and sounds.
My fingers hear pounds
while I do what Word does -
robotic majuscule -
with all things spiritual.
And suddenly it's December
while I do what Word does.
The Advent candles remain in the freezer.
While I do what Word does,
my life is in shambles;
I must light those candles.
And suddenly it's December,
Thanksgiving has come and gone.
My sentences continue to run-on
while I do what Word does,
Freezing the wind that kills things;
My creeds will live 'til Spring.
And suddenly it's December
with its lists and sounds.
My fingers hear pounds
while I do what Word does -
robotic majuscule -
with all things spiritual.
And suddenly it's December
while I do what Word does.
