Hope

On the day McVeigh parked a truck,
and ran to his yellow Marquis, my son leaned on
my knees. I watched Murrah tumble, and he learned to smile.

On the last day Cantor Fitzgerald went to work,
I held your newborn son in my arms, we rocked
as people took flight. Twisting, tumbling - rocking, rocking.

Today two brothers pressure cooked their way into history,
and three hundred thousand lives began.
Smile baby boys, smile; you are our hope.
